Federico Fazio closes in on Sevilla move

Federico Fazio has flown to Spain to complete his move from Tottenham Hotspur to Sevilla ahead of tonight's transfer deadline.

The 28-year-old centre-back moved to White Hart Lane from the Spanish side in 2014 as part of an £8m deal but has failed to work his way into Mauricio Pochettino's plans, featuring just once in all competitions this season.

The Argentine will now rejoin his former club on loan as they push for La Liga's top four in the second half of the season.

Fazio was reportedly the subject of a £5.3m bid from Stoke City over the weekend and had also been linked with West Bromwich Albion.
