Everton 'join Spurs in race for Bergwijn'

Versatile PSV Eindhoven attacker Steven Bergwijn is reportedly on Everton's radar ahead of the summer transfer window.

Everton have become the latest Premier League side to show an interest in PSV Eindhoven ace Steven Bergwijn, according to a report.

The 20-year-old attacker, who boasts five goals and six assists in 22 Eredivisie games this term, has previously been linked with Tottenham Hotspur.

ESPN reports that Spurs still retain an interest in Bergwijn, as do a number of foreign clubs, though a move to the Premier League is his preferred choice.

Everton are also hoping to add an exciting young talent to their ranks at the end of the campaign, and the Netherlands Under-21s international is said to tick all the boxes the Toffees are after as he is able to play on either wing.

Bergwijn, tipped to break into the Netherlands' senior side before the year is out, started his youth career with Ajax before moving to PSV in 2011.
