New Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas admits that he is interested in signing Porto midfielder Joao Moutinho.

New Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has admitted that he is interested in signing Porto midfielder Joao Moutinho.

The 25-year-old Portuguese international worked with the Spurs boss during Porto's treble-winning campaign of 2010-11.

"He was one of the most important players at Euro 2012, he had a fantastic tournament, and also he's an important player for Porto," said Villas-Boas. "Counting on players of this quality will always be interesting for us.

"It doesn't mean that it's the only target, but if something happened of course he's a player we look on with some interest."

Villas-Boas has also revealed that Luka Modric could leave White Hart Lane this summer, with a number of clubs in discussions over the Croatian's signature.
