How Tottenham could line up against Man United

Tottenham Hotspur have been dealt another attacking injury blow ahead of Wednesday's Premier League clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford.

The Lilywhites lost Richarlison to a calf injury in Saturday's 2-0 win over Everton, and the Brazilian was pictured on crutches in the mixed zone amid fears that he could now miss the World Cup.

Antonio Conte has already ruled Richarlison out of this game, while Dejan Kulusevski has suffered a setback in his recovery from a hamstring injury and remains doubtful too.

Lucas Moura and Bryan Gil are both options for change, but Conte will be expected to alter his shape if Kulusevski is not fit to start, with Harry Kane and Son Heung-min holding the fort up front.

Yves Bissouma would therefore come back in alongside Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Rodrigo Bentancur in a 3-5-2, with the Mali international's introduction breathing new life into Tottenham against a dogged Everton side.

Matt Doherty will hold his spot on the right as Emerson Royal serves the last of a three-game domestic ban, and Ivan Perisic has likely done enough to keep Ryan Sessegnon out of the XI for such a crucial game.

Japhet Tanganga is still uncertain with a knock, but it would not be a surprise to see Ben Davies, Eric Dier and Cristian Romero form an unchanged backline in front of Hugo Lloris.

Conte told reporters in his pre-game press conference that he was planning to stick with a 3-4-3 setup and potentially play Perisic higher up the field, but the 53-year-old may have been playing mind games with that admission.

Tottenham possible starting lineup: Lloris; Romero, Dier, Davies; Doherty, Hojbjerg, Bissouma, Bentancur, Perisic; Son, Kane
