Jan Vertonghen predicts Tottenham Hotspur response

Jan Vertonghen is confident that Tottenham Hotspur will bounce back from their 6-0 hammering against Manchester City.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Jan Vertonghen has insisted that the team will bounce back from their 6-0 hammering against Manchester City.

Spurs were soundly beaten at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday as they slipped down to ninth place in the Premier League table.

"It is not a big problem," Sky Sports News quotes the Belgian as saying.

"Of course we didn't play well against City but we are better than that. We can solve the problem. We will talk and bounce back on Sunday."

Tottenham face Tromso IL in the Europa League on Thursday before welcoming Manchester United to White Hart Lane in the Premier League on Sunday.
