Sandro delighted with comeback from injury

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Sandro has praised the club's fans after making his return from a serious knee injury.

The Brazilian played for the first time in seven months on Saturday when he came off the bench during the final 30 minutes of Spurs' 1-1 draw with Espanyol at White Hart Lane.

"It was fantastic, an amazing feeling," Sandro told the club's official website. "It felt like my first game all over again.

"It's been seven months without football so to come back and see the fans, it was amazing for me."

Tottenham start their Premier League campaign on Sunday when they travel to Crystal Palace.
