Harry Redknapp says referee Chris Foy got some decisions "badly wrong" after Stoke put an end Spurs' winning streak.

Harry Redknapp has blamed match officials after Tottenham's run of 11 unbeaten games was ended by Stoke City yesterday.

The 64-year-old alleged that referee Chris Foy missed three penalty decisions and that the linesman wrongly judged Emmanuel Adebayor to be offside after he netted in the second half.

"They don't make mistakes on purpose," Redknapp said. "But he'll look at it tonight on TV when his wife's making him a bacon sandwich and he'll think: 'Fuck me, what have I done there'.

"The referee hasn't made mistakes because he meant to, he's an honest guy but he just had a bad day. So did the linesman, who missed Adebayor being two yards onside.

"I accept defeat, I never complain about referees' decisions. I've not done it in 30 years of management. But today, I'm afraid, he got some badly wrong."

Redknapp pinpointed missed goalline handballs and Adebayor's offside decision as Foy's worst offences.

"We came away with nothing because there's two blatant handballs on the goalline," he said. "Adebayor's two yards onside when the ball's played to him and he scores but is given offside.

"Some of the decisions were just amazing. You look at the replays and how the ref or linesman gives Adebayor offside I don't know.

"And how he doesn't see the handball on the line. I wondered how he'd got it off the line but if you see the replays, you'll see the most blatant handball you've ever seen on a goalline."

Redknapp also acknowledged that the defeat was not all down the the officials.

"We were poor first half. I hold my hand up, we didn't play well," he admitted. "Stoke's a tough place to come and play. It's always difficult, you have to deal with what they throw at you.

"We started sloppy and tried to play our way out of trouble. A few times we lost possession. Every time they got the ball into the box it was panic, we couldn't handle it.

"It was difficult to live with them, they did well in that first half.

Spurs are currently third in the Premier League with 31 points from 14 games.
