Tottenham Hotspur coach Mauricio Pochettino pleased by "big win"

Tottenham Hotspur coach Mauricio Pochettino praises his players for their 'team performance' following Saturday's win at West Ham in the Premier League.

Tottenham Hotspur coach Mauricio Pochettino has described his side's season-opening victory over West Ham United as a "big win".

Spurs left it late to beat their London rivals on Saturday as Eric Dier's 90th-minute goal separated the teams at Upton Park.

"[It's a] big win and also a very tough game against West Ham, but we are very happy," Pochettino told Sky Sports News. "Congratulations to my players and supporters. We played like a team, this is the important thing."

Spurs return to action on Thursday when they travel to Cyprus to face AEL Limassol in the Europa League.
