Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that Scott Parker will be out of action until September.
The former West Ham United captain was forced to undergo surgery on an Achilles problem, which almost ruined his chances of competing for England at Euro 2012.
The North London outfit released a statement claiming that the operation was successful and that the 31-year-old will resume light training a month into the new Premier League season.
Parker will miss Spurs' opening fixture against Newcastle United and is likely to be ruled out for England's 2014 World Cup qualifiers.
