Hugo Lloris ready for "exciting" Tottenham Hotspur run

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris urges the team to maintain their recent performances ahead of an "exciting" run of games.

Hugo Lloris has said that Tottenham Hotspur must try to build on their recent results as they head into an "exciting" run of fixtures.

The North London side held Manchester United to a draw over Christmas, before beating league leaders Chelsea 5-3 on New Year's Day.

The goalkeeper told the club's website: "We have to carry on. We finished last year well and started this year with a great result against Chelsea. Now we have to continue in that way, don't think about the table and just think about our performances.

"It's really exciting because we are still in all four competitions with the semi-final of the League Cup to follow soon, and that means we're close to Wembley.

"We also have the replay in the FA Cup against Burnley and in the Premier League we are in a good position but now we have to stay there and be consistent in the second half of the season. There is also the Europa League. We will try to go as far as we can in all competitions."

Spurs travel to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace in the league this weekend.
