Jurgen Klinsmann: 'Daniel Levy is doing a fantastic job'

Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Jurgen Klinsmann says that chairman Daniel Levy is doing "a fantastic job" at the club.

Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Jurgen Klinsmann has stated his belief that chairman Daniel Levy is doing "a fantastic job" at the club.

Levy has come under fire from some Spurs fans during recent games at White Hart Lane, who are unhappy with the club's transfer dealings and their hiring and firing of managers.

However Klinsmann, who had two spells at the North London club in the 1990s, says that Levy and the board are on the right track.

"They are doing a fantastic job," the United States coach told the London Evening Standard. "In the last few years, Tottenham have qualified for the Champions League and they are consistently in the Europa League.

"They have built a fantastic new training ground and when you do things like that, you have a long term picture in mind. They are doing well in the Europa League and while they have lost a bit of ground in the Premier League, it will go in the right direction.

A new manager has come in and he needs the time to put his stamp on the team so there will be a few ups and downs, which are happening right now."

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has admitted that his job could be at risk following their slow start to the campaign.
