Harry Redknapp praises his Tottenham side after a tight 1-0 victory over West Brom on Tuesday night.

Harry Redknapp has praised his Tottenham Hotspur side for their hard-fought win against West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday night.

Spurs were frustrated for large periods of the game at White Hart Lane but Redknapp admitted that he was delighted with the 1-0 victory.

"In the end it was a great win for us, you're not always going to smash teams that come here and play flying football and look fantastic," the manager said. "It was a tough game tonight and we picked up three big points."

The former Portsmouth boss also expressed his admiration for Jermain Defoe's second-half winner.

"He's turned and managed to get that one in for us and that made all the difference," he added.

Spurs are currently six points behind leaders Manchester City in third place with a game in hand.
