Goalkeeper Brad Friedel believes that Spurs have the squad to challenge for this season's Premier League title.

Goalkeeper Brad Friedel believes that Tottenham Hotspur's squad has enough strength in depth to challenge for this season's Premier League title.

The White Hart Lane club have closed the gap on league leaders Manchester City to only three points following Wednesday's 2-0 win over Everton.

"One question that's always been asked since the start of the season is whether the squad is big enough with enough strength in depth. We're proving that it is," the American told talkSPORT.

"Williams Gallas stepped in for an injured Ledley King, Younes Kaboul misses one game and we bring Michael Dawson back. Sandro and Scott Parker were out [of the Everton game] and Jake Livermore came in and was possibly man of the match.

"And everyone knows about the pace in the squad. We'll just keep our feet on the ground but we're enjoying it right now."

Spurs continue their league campaign with a home match against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.
