Brad Friedel slams Tottenham Hotspur display

Tottenham goalkeeper Brad Friedel slams the team's performance as they suffer a shock 1-0 defeat at home to Wigan.

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Brad Friedel has slammed the team's performance as they slumped to a surprise 1-0 defeat at home to Wigan Athletic on Saturday.

Ben Watson scored the only goal of the game as Spurs were beaten for the third time this season.

"It was an awful day. We didn't perform from minute one to minute 95. It was just a lacklustre performance," said Friedel.

"This was not a Tottenham performance. Every single one of us needs to look in the mirror and hold up our hands."

The defeat has left Tottenham in fifth place in the Premier League table.
