Sir Alex Ferguson: Spurs playing the best football

Sir Alex Ferguson has said that Tottenham Hotspur have been playing the best football in the Premier League of late.

The Manchester United manager added that he felt the North London club were genuine title contenders.

"Tottenham have been the most impressive team," said the Glaswegian. "They were unlucky last Sunday at Stoke but if they win their game in hand they are still in there.

"And for me, Spurs have been playing the best football in the Premier League for the last eight games.

"They look confident and dangerous and I have been very impressed with them."

Spurs can move back ahead of Chelsea into third place if they beat Sunderland this afternoon.
