Moussa Dembele keen to win back starting place

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Dembele admits that he is not enjoying starting on the bench in the Premier League.

Moussa Dembele has said that he is hoping to force his way back into the starting lineup at Tottenham Hotspur after a run of games on the bench in the Premier League.

The Belgian international has started just two games in the top flight since Mauricio Pochettino's arrival at the club over the summer.

"I haven't played that much. I have played some good games but it's different from in the past. Before I played every week and maybe, I won't say easier, but if you play a lot you feel physically stronger," the Belfast Telegraph quotes the 27-year-old as saying.

"We train a lot, I take my games and I have to take my chances. Hopefully in the future I will play a lot more and get physically stronger. It's the first time in my career that this has happened a bit. It's something new and I need to think about it a lot.

Spurs face Stoke City in the Premier League later today.
