Moussa Dembele hails important victory

Moussa Dembele acknowledges the importance of Tottenham Hotspur getting back to winning ways with a 3-0 victory over Stoke City today.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Dembele has acknowledged the importance of getting back to winning ways following the 3-0 victory over Stoke City this afternoon.

White Hart Lane played host as Spurs bounced back from their 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion on Boxing Day by cruising to the three points over Mark Hughes's men.

Roberto Soldado opened the scoring from the penalty spot, before further goals from the Belgian and Aaron Lennon provided the perfect tonic to Thursday's stalemate.

He told reporters: "It was an important win after the Boxing Day draw against West Brom. Everybody was fighting for each other today."

Tim Sherwood's men, who sit seventh in the Premier League table, travel to Old Trafford for a clash with champions Manchester United on New Year's Day.
