Tottenham Hotspur and England midfielder Dele Alli has said that it is "a joy to play with" Harry Kane at international and club level.

The duo have forged an impressive partnership for club and country in recent years, and both will be part of Gareth Southgate's squad at this summer's World Cup, where Kane will captain the team.

Alli credited Kane with making his job easier with his movement up front, and insists that their link-up play comes naturally rather than being created on the training pitch.

"It's great to be playing with Harry for England. At Tottenham he's an unbelievable player, but the way we link isn't something we've worked on," Alli told reporters.

"You don't need to work on stuff too much. As a player fitting in behind someone like Harry, you don't have to do too much. You just give him the ball and he seems to score.

"I have worked with Harry on the training field at Spurs and I watched him on TV when I was in League One, so I could see what type of player he is.

"His movement is unbelievable, but one of the things he doesn't get a lot of credit for is how hard he works and how much easier he makes life for his defenders when he is pressing so hard from the front. He's a joy to play with."

England will face Costa Rica at Elland Road on Thursday for their final warm-up match before getting their World Cup campaign underway.
