Tottenham captain Michael Dawson believes that Wigan Athletic will provide his side with a stern test when they meet in the Premier League on Saturday.

Tottenham Hotspur captain Michael Dawson has claimed that Wigan Athletic will provide a tough challenge for his side when they meet in the Premier League this weekend.

Spurs, who are chasing a qualification place for next season's Champions League, travel to the struggling Latics on Saturday.

"Wigan are fighting for their lives but they are a good team, they are in the final of the FA Cup and they will want to pick up points just as much as we do, for different reasons," Dawson told the club's official website.

"It's about us though, about what we do and as long as we're on top of our game, we'll look to come away with the three points."

Tottenham come into the match at the DW Stadium on the back of a 3-1 win over Manchester City last weekend.
