Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Manchester City

Sports Mole rounds up all of Tottenham Hotspur's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Sunday's EFL Cup final with Manchester City.

Tottenham Hotspur interim manager Ryan Mason gears up for a baptism of fire at Wembley as his side take on Manchester City in Sunday's EFL Cup final.

The 29-year-old has been given six days to prepare for the showdown following the sacking of Jose Mourinho, but he at least got off to a winning start in midweek with a 2-1 Premier League victory over Southampton.

The Lilywhites have not lifted a major trophy since beating Chelsea in the 2008 edition of the EFL Cup, and Mason may have to cope without his star striker for Sunday's meeting with the defending champions.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Tottenham's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest.

Harry Kane

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: April 25 (vs. Man City)

Harry Kane limped off with an ankle problem in the dying embers of last week's draw with Everton and was nowhere to be seen against Southampton. Mason is optimistic that the England captain can return to training before the end of the week, but it remains to be seen if he will be given the green light for the final.

Ben Davies

Status: Out
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: April 21 (vs. Southampton)

Ben Davies is struggling to overcome a calf problem he sustained on international duty with Wales, and Mason has admitted that he does not know when the left-back will return, so he is all but guaranteed to miss the final.

Matt Doherty

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: April 25 (vs. Man City)

Matt Doherty returned to team training before Wednesday's clash with Southampton, but he was not passed fit for the midweek encounter. The right-back should be ready to play against Man City, though.

TOTTENHAM'S SUSPENSION LIST

Tottenham have no players suspended for the final.
