Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Watford

Tottenham injury, suspension list vs. Watford

Tottenham Hotspur will look to maintain their perfect start to the 2021-22 Premier League season when they host Watford on Sunday.

Nuno Espirito Santo's men have beaten Manchester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-0 apiece to take maximum points from their opening two games this season - one of only five teams to still boast a 100% record in the league.

Tottenham's mood will have been further boosted by their progress into the Europa Conference League group stage following their 3-1 aggregate win over Pacos de Ferreira - a match which saw Harry Kane score twice having now committed his immediate future to the club.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of the latest injury and suspension news from the Spurs camp ahead of Watford's visit.

Tanguy Ndombele

Status: Out Type of injury: Other Possible return date: Unknown

Tanguy Ndombele appears to be deemed surplus to requirements by new manager Nuno, with the midfielder heavily tipped to leave the club before Tuesday's transfer deadline. A Spurs lifeline may be possible if an exit does not materialise, but he is not expected to feature before the deadline and may have already played his final game for the club.

Joe Rodon

Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Thigh Possible return date: August 29 (vs. Watford)

Joe Rodon is closing in on a return to fitness following a thigh injury, but he is likely to miss this weekend's game and use the upcoming international break as a chance to recover fully.

Cameron Carter-Vickers

Status: Out Type of injury: Ankle Possible return date: Unknown

Cameron Carter-Vickers picked up an ankle injury during the first leg of Tottenham's Europa Conference League qualifier against Pacos and, while the full extent of the problem has not yet been revealed, he will miss this weekend's match.

SPURS' SUSPENSION LIST

Tottenham have no players suspended for this contest.
