Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Burnley

Sports Mole rounds up the latest injury and suspension news ahead of title-chasing Tottenham Hotspur's Premier League showdown against Burnley.

Tottenham Hotspur could temporarily move to within two points of the top of the Premier League table when they take on Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday, February 23.

Mauricio Pochettino's side refuse to fall away as title outsiders and will go into the match off the back of four straight wins - both in the Premier League and across all competitions.

Champions League progress is very much in their hands after a 3-0 win over Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of their last-16 tie at Wembley, and Spurs will have a full 10 days of rest before their trip to Turf Moor.

Such a gap is expected to allow some key players the chance to return to fitness, and here Sports Mole looks at the latest injury and suspension news for the North Londoners.

TOTTENHAM'S INJURY LIST

Harry Kane

Status: Slight doubt
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: February 23

Having been sidelined since January 13, England captain Kane could make his long-awaited return to action ahead of schedule against Burnley, but only if he passes a late fitness test.

Dele Alli

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: March 2

The trip to Turf Moor will come too soon for Alli, who is not expected to return to training until late February at the earliest. The North London derby against Arsenal on March 2 is a more realistic return date for him.

Eric Dier

Status: Slight doubt
Type of injury: Virus
Possible return date: February 23

Dier was expected to return for the Champions League clash against Dortmund but was instead forced to watch from the stands. The England international will be ready for the Burnley game, though.

Ben Davies

Status: Out
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: Unknown

Davies remains an absentee due to a groin injury and a return date has not yet been specified for the Welshman.

Vincent Janssen

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Janssen is also sidelined with a knee injury, the severity of which has not yet been confirmed. The setback came just days after Pochettino had hinted that the Dutchman might have a future at the club after all.

TOTTENHAM'S SUSPENSION LIST

Tottenham have no suspensions for this match.
