Reeling from a gut-wrenching UEFA Super Cup loss to Paris Saint-Germain, Tottenham Hotspur's Premier League campaign begins with a home tie against newly-promoted Burnley on Saturday.

The Lilywhites were on the verge of more continental stardom when they took a 2-0 lead in Wednesday's game, only for the Champions League holders to launch a tremendous comeback and complete the job on penalties.

Destiny Udogie was laid low by a knee injury in pre-season, and while he is getting closer to returning to full training, the Italy left-back is not expected to be ready for the first Premier League game of the season.

Kota Takai

Possible return date: Unknown

New signing Kota Takai picked up a foot problem during the latter stages of July, and Frank has conceded that the Japanese defender will be absent for a matter of weeks.

Radu Dragusin

Spanish winger Bryan Gil suffered a knee injury while on loan at Girona last season, but the former Sevilla man is only on the fringes of the Spurs side anyway.
