How Spurs could line up against Crystal Palace

Tottenham Hotspur will finally make their first appearance at their £1bn stadium on Wednesday night when they welcome London rivals Crystal Palace to their brand new home.

Spurs begin a new era desperately in need of an improvement in form, though, having picked up just one point from the last 15 on offer in the Premier League.

Results this weekend saw Mauricio Pochettino's side slip down to fourth place in the table, now only in the Champions League spots on goal difference.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how the North Londoners could line up as they attempt to return to winning ways on a momentous day for the club.

Spurs could welcome Harry Winks back into their squad after his return to first-team training, although with a packed fixture schedule coming up Pochettino may be wary of throwing him straight back into the starting XI.

The galling nature of Sunday's defeat to Liverpool may have hurt Spurs, but Pochettino was pleased with the performance and so the only changes made could be to keep the squad fresh.

The likes of Son Heung-min and Ben Davies will be hopeful of recalls as a result, but the need for a win is likely to force Pochettino to name something close to a first-choice XI from the players available.

Hugo Lloris is expected to keep his place in goal despite his costly error at Anfield, while Spurs could once again name a back three including Toby Alderweireld, who was the unfortunate one to score the late own goal on Sunday.
