Son Heung-min, Cristian Romero available for Tottenham against Brighton

Son, Romero available for Tottenham against Brighton

Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte has revealed that Son Heung-min and Cristian Romero are both back in the fold for Saturday's FA Cup clash with Brighton & Hove Albion.

Romero has been out of action since suffering a serious thigh injury while on duty with Argentina back in November, with the centre-back missing 14 matches in all competitions for the Lilywhites.

Son, meanwhile, has been absent for Spurs' last four games due to a muscular issue, but Conte has now confirmed that the influential duo could earn some minutes in the cup.

Speaking to tottenhamhotspur.com, Conte said: "For sure, Cristian could be a new signing for us! With me, he's only played two games. It's important to have a player with his potential available now.

"We've seen the improvement in Sanchez, Davies, Tanganga, it was good, and now to have Cristian available is good news, and like a new player for me.

"Sonny is okay, and now we have three games in a few days, it will be very important to give him the right minutes to play, but Sonny is another player that, you know very well, is very important for us. He can move the balance during a game. I'm very happy to have him available again."

Conte has also confirmed that Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur are in contention to make their debuts after arriving from Juventus on deadline day.

However, Oliver Skipp and Japhet Tanganga are set to miss out for Spurs, with the former struggling with a groin problem while Tanganga nurses a knee injury.
