Norwich keeper Tim Krul reveals that he included the Tottenham Hotspur players' penalty preferences on his water bottle in the FA Cup penalty shootout on Wednesday night.

Norwich City goalkeeper Tim Krul has revealed that he had the Tottenham Hotspur players' penalty preferences on his water bottle during the FA Cup shootout between the two sides on Wednesday night.

The Canaries held Spurs to a 1-1 draw in North London as Josip Drmic's equaliser cancelled out Jan Vertonghen's opener to force a shootout.

The 31-year-old Krul managed to save penalties from both Gedson Fernandes and Troy Parrott, denying Spurs a place in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

The penalty specialist told Sky Sports News after the game: "That's what it's all about, that's why we do the work. When you have down times, this is what you think of.

"As a little boy you want to save penalties and get your club through. Big emotions today.

"Everyone says I am good at penalties so I knew I'd better start saving some. Me and my coach do our homework, I had them on my bottle, it all happens in a shoot-out.

"What a place to do it as well and for 9,000 fans to be here on a Wednesday night - Incredible. Maybe this is the turning point, we believe we can stay up."

The Canaries are set to face either Derby County or Manchester United in the next stage of the competition.
