Mauricio Pochettino reveals disappointment following defeat to Fiorentina

Tottenham Hotspur coach Mauricio Pochettino has revealed his disappointment after the club were eliminated from the Europa League by Italian outfit Fiorentina.

Spurs endured a 2-0 defeat in the second leg of their last-32 encounter following goals from Mario Gomez and Mohamed Salah, leaving the Premier League side to fall short after a 3-1 aggregate loss.

"We are very disappointed. The players are disappointed, but this is football," Pochettino told the club's television channel.

"The first goal was our mistake and after that it was difficult. I think we deserved more."

Spurs currently hold seventh spot in the Premier League standings.
