Half-Time Report: Tottenham Hotspur, Besiktas goalless at the break

Besiktas and Tottenham Hotspur have both been unable to break the deadlock in a goalless first half in their Europa League tie.

The game was only eight minutes old when play was interrupted due to a floodlight failure.

Following a 16-minute delay the teams came back out and Spurs had a decent chance to score when a free kick from Paulinho was headed into the path of Roberto Soldado, who saw his close-range effort saved.

On the half-hour mark Besiktas threatened for the first time, as Olcay Sahan fired just over the bar.
