Giorgio Chiellini admits that he does not remember his heavy challenge on Harry Kane ahead of Tuesday's Champions League tie.

Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini has admitted that he cannot remember his fierce challenge on Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane.

The 33-year-old gave the striker a jarring welcome to international football when he crashed into the forward during a friendly between Italy and England in March 2015.

Kane spoke of the incident during his pre-match press conference, but Chiellini has admitted that he cannot recall the moment.

"Kane said I made a rough challenge on him once? I don't remember, it could be the case, but it wasn't on purpose," the defender told reporters during a press conference.

"He's an extraordinary forward as his statistics from the last year show. He's a complete forward who plays for the team. In my opinion he was already one of the best strikers and people were already talking about him then. I think I was a good judge."

The two players are expected to come face to face again in Tuesday's Champions League last-16 tie in Turin.
