Silva withdraws from Spain squad

Manchester City attacker David Silva has withdrawn from the Spain squad with a hamstring injury.

The 27-year-old, who has now been released back to his club, is reported to have suffered a 'slight hamstring injury' during a training session on Sunday evening.

Silva had been pencilled in for an appearance in Tuesday's friendly against Chile, but the Spanish Football Federation have confirmed his absence.

Real Madrid midfielder Isco has also been forced to withdraw from the squad.
