Rickie Lambert poised for 200th Southampton appearance

Rickie Lambert could reach a milestone 200 appearances for Southampton if he is picked to play this weekend.

The 31-year-old could record the achievement against West Ham United this Sunday at St Mary's, just over four years after he joined the club.

The Liverpool-born striker moved to Southampton in 2009, missing just two games through injury in 2010 and 2011 respectively, according to the Daily Echo.

The milestone comes after Lambert competed in both of England's World Cup qualifiers against Moldova and Ukraine following his debut last month against Scotland.
