Half-Time Report: Southampton lead at the break

Southampton lead at the break

Southampton are leading Yeovil Town 1-0 at half time at St Mary's in the FA Cup.

The Saints were awarded a penalty kick on 23 minutes when Jos Hooiveld was pushed inside the area, minutes after Jay Rodriguez had struck the bar

Guly do Prado, who is one of six changes in the Saints' side, scored his first goal for over two years when he converted from the spot.

Yeovil had a chance earlier in the game but James Hayter couldn't quite get on the end of Joe Ralls's in-swinging cross.

Adam Lallana went close on the half-hour mark when he flashed a left-footed effort just wide of the post, before Rodriguez was denied by Marek Stech shortly before the break.
