Fulham go down to Championship side Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough.

Martin Jol chose to rest several first-team players against Sheffield Wednesday, leading them to go down 1-0.

Jol's much-changed squad struggled to take control of the game and indeed it was Wednesday who were looking the more threatening in the first half.

However, Mark Schwarzer was not often tested, with shots directed straight at the Australian or over the bar from the hosts.

The first clear-cut chance was converted by Wednesday, Gary Madine slotting the ball into the corner after Chris Maguire was fouled by Stephen Kelly.

After that Wednesday were looking most likely to score again rather than the Premier League side getting back into it.

However, the hosts hung on to take the scalp.
