Jairo Samperio pleased with "positive start"

Sevilla midfielder Jairo Samperio has revealed that he is pleased with his side's "positive start" to the season.

The La Liga outfit are currently two points off the top six in Spain's top division, while they have advanced into the latter stages of the Europa League.

"We have made a positive start. There was a hesitant start, but now we've taken flight. There's still a lot of room for improvement despite moving up in the league," Jairo told reporters.

"Now we have to kick on after the New Year, domestically and in the Europa League."

Jairo joined Sevilla from Racing Santander in the summer.
