Unai Emery has brought in a number of new midfielders this summer, but Iborra has vowed to fight for his spot in the team.
"It's important to have a competitive squad with many players who can play in several positions," he told AS.
"[We need] young, hungry and experienced people. I think that's good and everyone comes together, even with the fans in the mix. I think we can be strong.
"The main thing is that competition is good for the group to work for the good of the group and from there everyone improves. The main thing is that the team comes out winning."
Sevilla have taken four points from their first two La Liga games this season.
