Gianluigi Buffon is making his 500th league appearance for Juventus in Friday's Serie A clash with Fiorentina.

Buffon is only the second player to reach 500 league games for Juven, with Alessandro del Piero currently leading the way on 513.

The 40-year-old has recently returned to fitness following a muscular problem, which has restricted him to just 12 Serie A appearances during the 2017-18 campaign.

Juventus have won each of their last 10 matches in all competitions, and victory over Fiorentina on Friday night would move them two points clear of Napoli at the top of Serie A.

The Old Lady will welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Turin for the first leg of their last-16 Champions League tie on Tuesday night.
