Saturday's Eredivisie predictions including Almere City vs. AZ Alkmaar

Excelsior vs. FC Twente (Saturday, 5.45pm)

Round 21 of the 2023-24 Eredivisie campaign sees SBV Excelsior and FC Twente go head-to-head at Van Donge & De Roo Stadion on Saturday evening.

The hosts will be looking to complete a league double over their hosts having run out 4-2 winners in this season's reverse fixture back in December.

We say: SBV Excelsior 1-2 FC Twente

Given Excelsior's home struggles and Twente's bad form on the road, Saturday's contest could easily swing either way, but we are backing the visitors to just about get the job done in the end.

Almere City vs. AZ (Saturday, 7.00pm)

Off the back of a first win in four outings last time out, Almere City play host to AZ Alkmaar at the Yanmar Stadion on Saturday evening.

On the other hand, the visitors make the trip aiming to snap a dismal run of four games across all competitions since their last victory three weeks ago.

We say: Almere City 0-2 AZ Alkmaar

Both sides are on a rough patch at the moment, but AZ still boast significantly more quality all over the pitch, and we are backing them to emerge as winners in the end.

Heracles vs. Vitesse (Saturday, 8.00pm)

Heracles will be aiming to avoid defeat number three on the spin when they entertain the challenge of Vitesse at the Erve Asito on Saturday.

Vitesse, meanwhile, head to Almelo on a four-game losing streak across all competitions which has left them with work to do in the battle for top-flight survival.

We say: Heracles 2-1 Vitesse

With two of the Eredivisie's leakiest defences going head-to-head, we are anticipating an open contest with goals at both ends. That said, we are tipping Heracles to emerge triumphant come the end of the 90 minutes.
