World Cup final referee Howard Webb has bought five season tickets at his beloved Rotherham United ahead of next season.
The Millers have played their home games outside the town in nearby Sheffield at the Don Valley Stadium since Millmoor was disused in 2008.
In July, the League Two side will return to Rotherham and move into the new £20m, 12,000-seater New York Stadium.
40-year-old Webb, who was in charge of the international showpiece between Spain and Holland in Johannesburg two years ago, is delighted that his hometown club is finally returning to its rightful place.
He told The Mirror: "Being back home in Rotherham is exciting for the club. I can't wait.
"When I am not working on Saturdays, I love to go and watch the Millers.
"Watching them in the 1980s went some way to inspiring me to becoming a professional referee."
Webb, who was in charge of Stoke City's 1-1 draw with Manchester City yesterday, has shown 72 yellow cards in 24 Premier League games so far this season.
