Salt Lake strike twice late on to steal win
Real Salt Lake score two late goals to complete a comeback to defeat Chicago Fire 3-2 in their MLS clash.

Real Salt Lake staged a dramatic comeback scoring twice in the last five minutes to beat the Chicago Fire 3-2 in their MLS clash

The home side took the lead when Harry Shipp fired an effort at goal from distance and his effort was saved by Nick Rimando, but Mike Magee was on hand to turn in the rebound.

Salt Lake responded and Alvaro Saborio was put through on goal with Sean Johnson, but from a tight angle the keeper managed to keep his effort out with his chest.

Chicago doubled their lead when Greg Cochrane lifted a cross into the box and Juan Luis Anangono met the ball unmarked in the penalty and placed his header into the net.

The visitors tried to come back immediately as Saborio lifted the ball up for himself outside the area and cracked a volley at goal, and Johnson had to be alert to parry it away to make the stop.

After the break, Salt Lake did get a goal back in the 72nd minute when Joao Plata received the ball inside the box and managed to find the bottom corner with a low shot.

Real pressed to find an equaliser and just when time was running out they found it through Saborio, who wasn't going to be denied by Johnson again as he turned in a loose ball in the area.

With five minutes of time added on, Salt Lake completed their comeback as Javier Morales hit a cross to the back post and Plata was there to fire the ball past Johnson.
