Zidane 'to use Lunin as Navas understudy'

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has reportedly identified young goalkeeper Andriy Lunin as an ideal understudy to Keylor Navas.

Zidane has yet to publicly declare which of Navas or Thibaut Courtois, a £35m signing from Chelsea last summer, will be his number one from next season.

Don Balon reports that the Frenchman has full faith in Navas, who has started four of Madrid's last five matches, and he is looking to offload Courtois.

A younger back-up will then be used, it is claimed, with Lunin - used just three times by loan club Leganes this term - seen as a good long-term option.

Despite his lack of minutes in La Liga since arriving from Zorya Luhansk last year, Zidane has not been put off and will use the 20-year-old in Copa del Rey matches.
