Real Madrid to offer Marco Asensio to Liverpool as part Sadio Mane bid?

Real Madrid will reportedly test Liverpool's resolve when it comes to keeping Sadio Mane by offering the Reds the chance to sign Marco Asensio in this summer's transfer window.

Mane enjoyed a terrific 2018-19 campaign for Jurgen Klopp's side, scoring 26 times in 50 appearances in all competitions, including four goals in the Champions League.

According to The Express, Madrid want to land the 27-year-old this summer and are prepared to offer Asensio to the Reds as part of a bid for the Senegal international.

The report claims that Klopp is "a big fan" of Asensio, who only managed six goals for Los Blancos during the 2018-19 season, including just one in La Liga.

The attacker has largely impressed since arriving at the Bernabeu, though, contributing 27 goals and 17 assists in 135 appearances for the capital giants in all competitions.

Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with a move for the Spain international this summer.
