Andrea Pirlo plays down Real Madrid talk

Juventus midfielder Andrea Pirlo says that he wants to sign a new deal with the Italian champions.

Andrea Pirlo has denied suggestions that he has held talks with Real Madrid about a move to the Bernabeu at the end of the season.

The 34-year-old is currently free to discuss terms with interested parties due to his Juventus deal expiring in the summer.

"Real Madrid? I've never spoken to them. I talk with Carlo Ancelotti, but we talk about other things. I feel good here at Juventus," Pirlo told La Stampa. "Juventus and I have spoken and we will meet again to discuss everything.

"We have a lot of matches to play and we must focus on them, but there are a lot of reasons to stay at Juventus. They are growing and it is possible to achieve your targets here."

Pirlo has been with Juve since 2011.
