Pauleta backs Cristiano Ronaldo for Paris Saint-Germain move

Paris Saint-Germain "would be a good team" for Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo, according to his fellow Portuguese Pauleta, who played for PSG between 2003 and 2008.

Former Paris Saint-Germain forward Pauleta has called on the French champions to bring Cristiano Ronaldo to the club next summer.

It has been claimed that the 30-year-old could depart Real Madrid in 2016, and PSG are believed to be leading the race to sign the attacker.

Pauleta, who represented PSG between 2003 and 2008, has said that the Ligue 1 champions "would be a good team" for Ronaldo if he decides to leave Spain.

"PSG would be a good team for Cristiano. They're one of the few teams that could sign him and who has the quality to improve the level of the team," Pauleta told Radio Marca.

Real Madrid will welcome PSG to the Bernabeu in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.
