Napoli have reportedly identified Real Madrid forward Luka Jovic as a potential summer signing.

While Jovic only penned a long-term contract at the Bernabeu before the start of this season, the Serbia international has endured a disappointing first campaign.

In five starts and 14 substitute outings in La Liga and the Champions League, the 22-year-old has contributed just two goals.

According to AS, Napoli are interested in handing Jovic an opportunity to revive his career in Serie A next season.

The Italian outfit need to consider potential replacements for Dries Mertens, who is yet to extend his deal at Stadio San Paolo.

The report adds that Jovic's agent has a strong working relationship with Napoli, boosting the chances of a move being finalised.
