Report: Luka Modric's wife unsettled in Spain

A FIFA agent has claimed that the wife of Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric is unhappy in Spain, sparking speculation that the Croatia international could make a return to the Premier League.

The 29-year-old has cemented himself as a regular in the La Liga giants' starting XI, with only a hamstring injury proving a hindrance.

Francois Gallardo has, however, hinted that Modric is unsettled at the Bernabeu, The Express quoting him as saying: "Modric is the engine of Real Madrid, but the problem is his wife who did not fit into Madrid in Spain."

Manchester United and Chelsea are rumoured to be keeping a close eye on the situation.
