Madrid looking to sell James for £51m?

Zinedine Zidane has reportedly ruled out a return to Real Madrid for James Rodriguez, forcing the club to offload the attacking midfielder for a cut-price fee.

Rodriguez's two-year loan deal with Bayern Munich expires in the summer and there is no agreement in place with the German giants to make that permanent.

With Zidane, the man who sent the Colombian attacker out on loan, now back in the Bernabeu dugout for a second spell in charge, it appears as though a permanent exit is on the cards.

According to reports in the Spanish press, the 27-year-old will be sold to the highest bidder this summer, though Real do not expect to raise much more than £50m for his signature.

James supposedly dreams of competing in the Premier League, with Arsenal and Liverpool possible options, while Serie A side Napoli are another contender to sign him as ex-Real boss Carlo Ancelotti is in charge.
