Roysten Drenthe aims to instigate Feyenoord move

Drenthe eyes Feyenoord return

Real Madrid winger Royston Drenthe has revealed that he hopes to return to Feyenoord following a temporary stay at Everton.

The 25-year-old, who moved to Goodison Park from the Bernabeu on a loan switch last summer, has not featured for the Toffees since being dropped from Everton's FA Cup semi-final defeat to Liverpool in April due to disciplinary reasons.

"I want to do what I like and that's play football. In addition Rotterdam is my city," Drenthe told RTV Rijnmond.

"Feyenoord have not called me yet, but of course I would not mind if they did. Maybe I'll call them myself."

The Dutchman began his career at Feyenoord before moving to the Spanish giants in 2007.
