Courtois: 'Hazard move to Real would be nice'

Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has acknowledged that he wants Chelsea winger Eden Hazard to move to the Bernabeu.

Courtois left the Blues for Real last summer, and Hazard continues to be heavily linked with a switch to the European champions ahead of next season.

The Belgium stopper has said that he does not try to tempt Hazard into a move to Spain but hopes that his compatriot decides on a new challenge after seven years at Chelsea.

Courtois told VTM Nieuws: "It would be nice of course [if Hazard joined Real], but I cannot say much about it. That is something he has to decide and Madrid must decide if they want him, because I do not know that either.

"But Eden is a top player and also my buddy, so if he came here it would be fun, but he has to make his choices."

Hazard currently has just under 18 months on his contract, but Chelsea would likely sell the playmaker if he requests a transfer.
