Sevilla came from behind to record a 3-2 win over Real Madrid in La Liga on Sunday evening.

Sergio Ramos sent the visitors into a 22nd-minute lead at the Estadio Ramon, but a strike from Ciro Immobile 10 minutes before the interval saw the two teams enter the break all square.

Sevilla continued to impress in the second period and goals from Ever Banega and Fernando Llorente ensured that they entered the final 15 minutes with a 3-1 lead.

James Rodriguez had one back for Los Blancos in the third minute of stoppage time, but the full-time whistle was blown shortly after as the hosts secured all the points.

The result means that Real Madrid remain second in the table, three points off the leaders Barcelona, while Sevilla have moved into 10th position.

SEVILLA

Goal

Sergio Rico: Could do nothing about either Real Madrid goal and made some super saves during another strong display. Best moment came when he kept out a point-blank Casemiro header. (8/10)

Defence

Mariano: Struggled to deal with Gareth Bale in the early exchanges, but really grew into the match and set up Sevilla's third with a super cross onto Llorente's head. Always willing to drive forward. (7/10)

Adil Rami: Like a number of his teammates, looked a little overwhelmed early on, but made some crucial blocks at 1-0 Real Madrid and was physical against Cristiano Ronaldo when he needed to be. (7/10)

Marco Andreolli: Looked like it would be a tough game for the Italian after Real Madrid made such a strong start, but the centre-back really grew into the contest in the second period. (7/10)

Benoit Tremoulinas: Super performance from the left-back, who caused so many problems with his willingness to drive forward. Set up a number of chances with his delivery from wide areas. (8/10)

Midfield

Steven N'Zonzi: Took him a bit of time to settle into the match, but the physical Frenchman had a strong second half. A real presence in the middle and moved the ball quickly when it was needed. (7/10)

Grzegorz Krychowiak: Sevilla have managed to commit the Pole to a new long-term deal and his dominant performance was another indication of his increasing importance to the cause. (8/10)

Ever Banega: Struggled to put his mark on the game in the opening 30 minutes, but was excellent during Sevilla's best period and scored their second from close range. Classy performance. (8/10)

Attack

Yevhen Konoplyanka: Did not see too much from the Ukraine international in the first period, but he ran Danilo riot in the second. Was the attacker's excellent cross that set up Sevilla's second goal. (7/10)

Ciro Immobile: Given a rare chance to impress and came up with his first league goal for the Spanish outfit to level the scores. Caused all sorts of problems with his pace and tenacity in the final third. (8/10)

Vitolo: Overshadowed by a number of his teammates, but undertook some important defensive work, especially in the latter stages when Sevilla needed to keep their 3-1 lead in tact. (6/10)

Substitutes

Fernando Llorente: Would have been disappointed not to have been given the nod to start, but the towering striker made a vital contribution after coming on - heading his side's third of the match. (7/10)

Michael Krohn-Dehli: Finding it difficult to break into the first XI on a consistent basis at the moment, but the experienced Dane was calm and collected when he replaced Banega late on. (6/10)

Timothee Kolodziejczak: Replaced Andreolli in the 84th minute as Unai Emery looked for more of a physical presence at the back. Was a bit of a risk to change a centre-back at that late stage. (6/10)

REAL MADRID

Goal

Kiko Casilla: Has not had a lot of football this season and it showed. Made a couple of decent saves, but was partly at fault for Sevilla's opener and just did not look confident between the sticks. (6/10)

Defence

Danilo: Was part of a Real Madrid team that started on the front foot, but after the game settled, Konoplyanka started to give the Brazilian a really tough time in a wide position. (6/10)

Pepe: Should have taken leadership of the Real Madrid back-line when Ramos was forced off, but the Portuguese certainly had the look of a player that has just returned from an injury lay-off. (6/10)

Sergio Ramos: Opened the scoring with a sensational bicycle-kick, but re-injured his shoulder in the process and was forced off with that problem in the first period. Frustrating for the Spaniard. (7/10)

Nacho: Bit of a mixed-bag from the defender. Hit the post with a rasping effort in the first period, but was at fault for Sevilla's opener and got caught out on too many occasions down the left. (6/10)

Midfield

Casemiro: Has been one of the stars of the season for Real Madrid, but after making a strong start, the Brazilian seemed to run out of legs in the second period. Not as good as he has been. (6/10)

Toni Kroos: Had a number of half-chances to find the back of the net, but the German's shooting was a little wayward. Was the player sacrificed for Jese Rodriguez in the final 15 minutes. (6/10)

Luka Modric: Still searching for his best form after a spell on the sidelines. Very classy in possession of the ball, but was caught on a couple of occasions. Needed a bit more from his teammates. (7/10)

Attack

Gareth Bale: Was straight back in the XI after recovering from a calf problem and the Welshman made a really bright start as he caused problems in a free role. Faded as the game developed though. (6/10)

Cristiano Ronaldo: Has a wonderful scoring record against Sevilla, but could not add to that tally here. Huffed and puffed in the final third, but the 30-year-old did not have his shooting boots on. (6/10)

Isco: Proved key in Real Madrid's strong start, but the Spaniard drifted out of the game in the second period and it did not come as much of a surprise when he was replaced just past the hour. (6/10)

Substitutes

Raphael Varane: Brought on in the 32nd minute in place of Ramos, but the usually excellent Frenchman had a tricky evening. Found it difficult to adapt to the pace of the game in Seville. (6/10)

James Rodriguez: Certain to earn a starting role when he is back to full fitness. Scored a super second for Real Madrid late on and demonstrated his ability in the final 30 minutes. (7/10)

Jese Rodriguez: Would have been disappointed to have been dropped from the XI and it was a big ask for the Spaniard to make an impression after being introduced for the final 10 minutes. (6/10)
