Barcelona star Xavi confident of Super Cup triumph against Real Madrid

Barcelona midfielder Xavi has insisted that his side have the advantage in the Spanish Super Cup against Real Madrid.

The Blaugrana defeated Jose Mourinho's men 3-2 at the Nou Camp in the first leg on Thursday, thanks to goals from Pedro, Lionel Messi and Xavi.

"We started the game well and showed character to get back into the match [after falling behind]," said the Spanish midfielder.

"We had a great game, and to win was significant as it means we know what we have to do at the Bernabeu.

"If we play in the same way in Madrid, then we will win the title."

The second leg of the Super Cup will be played at the Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid next Wednesday.
